Richard "Dick" Schofield Obituary

Richard " Dick " Pelton Schofield, 67, passed away at his home in Ashton, on April 25, 2014. He was born March 15, 1947, in Rexburg, Idaho. His parents were Ross and Beth Schofield. He was raised in the Moody area and lived in the upper valley all his life.
He grew up working on the family farm. He loved the memories of growing up and working with family. He told of fun times spent with cousins. He loved raising cows, working with horses and farming. He also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping and hunting. He had a love for baseball, playing as a kid and later coaching for many area teams.
Dick attended school first at the Moody School House where he would ride his horse to school each day. He also attended school in Sugar City. He went on to college at the University of Idaho, where he played football.
He is survived by his wife, Ambur Schofield; two daughters from a previous marriage, Nichole (Josh) Robson, of Ririe and Tracey (Jeff) Kortright, of St. Anthony. He had four granddaughters, Victoria, Aubrey, Lauren and Hailey, who he loved spending time with.
He was preceded in death by both parents, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, on Wednesday, April 30. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are being received at the Bank of Commerce. Condolences may be sent online to www.flammfh.com.

I remember Dick whenever we went out to visit Mother and Dad on the farm. I was saddened to hear of his passing. Please accept our condolences.

We are sorry for your loss but we loved Dick, even though we live far away. We grew up 3 miles from him and remember going out to the Moody farm and playing. I know he is finally out of pain and in a better place.
